Catholic Social Services’ (CSS) top priority is the health of our clients, volunteers, and staff. CSS leadership and the Board of Trustees continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to services, programming, and events. In alignment with the latest CDC guidelines, they have decided that now is the right time to transition to an in-person Charity Ball on Saturday, May 7.
Guests will not be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination status to attend Charity Ball. During the event, we recommend that guests wear a mask when not actively eating or drinking and observe physical distancing.
CSS has reduced the traditional ballroom capacity by 25% and all Hotel Captain Cook and CSS staff and volunteers will wear masks while assisting guests during the event. We kindly ask that you do not attend Charity Ball if you are not feeling well or have any symptoms of COVID-19.
We may make adjustments to these protocols as needed.
Your generous support has made Charity Ball possible this year, as it has for the past 30 years. CSS is strong because of our community, and we want to take this night to thank our wonderful supporters who have stood steadfast and helped make a difference in the lives of so many Alaskans. We look forward to celebrating the 31st annual Wilma Carr Charity Ball with you on Saturday, May 7th. Thank you.
